Producer/Associate Producer

Job Description:
You are a self-starter, a team player, and an effective manager and communicator. As a key member of the PlayFirst team, you understand and contribute to overall company goals and the development and design requirements that fuel your work. You are able to excel at a strategic level, inventing and sourcing from third parties the best games to serve our target consumers, but you are also able to operate effectively at a tactical level, driving concepts through the approval process and development to launch and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Own production of games once they are approved for development or publishing, including project budget, schedule and resources.
- Identify and lead internal/external development teams, including artists, QA and other production resources to timely and successful project completion.
- Manage all facets of release process, including creation of marketing materials to support product launches and distribution of games to partner web sites.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry leading developers, licensors, and distribution partners.
- Contribute to the success of PlayFirst.com by working effectively with the cross-functional departments and executive management.
- Source ideas and draft proposals consisting of concept docs, development plans, product plans, and schedules.
- Lead post-launch efforts to bring products to multiple platforms such as mobile, international, and retail.
- Understand and contribute to overall company goals, as well as sales and marketing requirements.
Requirements:
- Excellent analytical, facilitation and organizational skills required.
- 2+ years of game production experience at the Producer or Associate Producer level.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, multi-task and meet deadlines required.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with Art, Marketing, and Engineering staff to efficiently deliver the best games while meeting the goals and requirements of each of those other areas.
- Demonstrated success in management of creative endeavors.
- Game design experience and/or passion for games is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree strongly preferred.
- Competence with typical producer software tools, documents and processes (budgets, game concept creation, project management, bug reports and defect tracking).
- Must have current US work authorization.
