You're not new to Facebook. In fact, you've used it for years. You've got hundreds of Facebook friends and twitter followers. You're on YouTube, and you used to use MySpace before it went out of style. You grew up coding before you even knew it was something you can get paid to do. You frequent stackoverflow. You love to code and even have a degree in Computer Science. Maybe you used to code in C++ or Java, but these days you get your kicks doing things in ActionScript3, because well – it's a real language now and you love the rich media authoring that Flash offers. You know about garbage collection and memory management enough to avoid your Flash apps grinding to a halt. You're not new to social gaming, and you want to be part of a fresh new team at PlayFirst that will serve up casual game content social-style!

YOUR NEW JOB:

In this position you will join a cutting edge team whose mission is to take PlayFirst firmly and definitively to the top of the social gaming arena. Your focus is bringing life to the data that's coming at you from Facebook as well as our back end systems. You'll be using ActionScript 3 to implement new game mechanics that are best suited for social games, and you'll do it by working closely with our high energy take-no-prisoners server-side engineers, game designers, product managers, and kick-ass artists.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science.
  • At least two years of experience with AS3.
  • At least two years of experience making games with AS using Adobe Flex Builder.
  • Working knowledge of Web Technologies such as PHP, HTML and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of end-user experience.
  • Computer Graphics programming experience.
  • Facility with object-oriented design and implementation.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.

PREFERRED:

  • A love for playful user interfaces that sparkle.
  • A passion for start-ups and able to work in a fast paced ever-changing environment.
  • Experience with high growth Web sites and web-based entertainment.
