Job Description:

The Release Engineer is responsible for servicing all build requests in a prioritized and timely manner. This is a critical function that requires fast learning, and excellent trouble shooting skills. While the release engineer uses build scripts and automated tools to help with servicing all requests, in this role you will dive into the source code of the build system to trouble shoot and rectify problems as they arise. You will also verify that the games you have built run, and should they fail to do so, you must track down the problems or enlist senior level help if needed.

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven individual who pays great attention to detail and can work with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be highly organized and have the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical people.

Responsibilities:

  • Service build requests in a timely manner, and verify build success
  • Troubleshoot build failures and fix problems as they arise
  • Manage and prioritize requests from various departments

Requirements:

  • Python, General Shell Scripting Skills (Windows and Unix)
  • Knowledge of C++
  • Trouble shoot build problems by looking at the source of build scripts as needed
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Ruby
  • Experience with Windows and Macintosh (compiling C++ and scripting)
  • Adobe Flash and Director
  • Source control (Perforce preferred)
  • Symantec Wise Package Studio (application installation and configuration)
