Senior Software Engineer (Games)

Job Description:
The Senior Software Engineer works directly with a cross-functional team of engineers, producers, artists, and QA engineers to develop award winning and world class casual games. As the lead engineer on a casual games title, the Senior Software Engineer will design, develop and ship innovative and commercially successful titles that are part of the PlayFirst games portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full engineering life-cycle of team based projects, including requirements design, technical design, task estimation, implementation, automated testing, debugging, and deployment
- Use effective communication between project and team members in order to launch award winning games
- Responsible for deploying games against a schedule
Requirements:
- Computer Graphics programming experience (DirectX, OpenGL, or higher-level SDK's)
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to scheduled and team-agreed timelines
- Strong understanding of the end-user experience
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Must be a team player and be responsible for individual assignments within the team
- 3 or more years experience professional software development
- 2 or more years experience C++ development
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred:
- Past successes with team projects for which you were responsible for the full engineering life-cycle from requirements gathering through to deployment
- Experience with localized and cross-platform product development
- Previous experience planning, implementing, deploying and evaluating video games
- Experience with embedded scripting languages (lua, ruby, python, perl, etc.)
- Experience developing and deploying networked multiplayer games
