KismetPF and I are having "office clean out day" sometime soon. Unfortunately we are starting to amass quite a collection of half-drunken bottles of soda/water/juice. We recently started sharing the same office about a month ago, and it turns out both of us have the same weird habit: never finishing our drink. As of right now we have about 14 bottles scattered across our room, and our collection continues to grow. In case you're wondering - yes, PlayFirst recycles.

Sometimes during lunch me, The Unknown Blogger (who actually is not unknown to me), and the rest of our merry cohorts here at PlayFirst engage in some board game action. After several attempts to play a sensible game of Apples to Apples, i.e. one that did not end in name calling, we have decided to move on to less subjective games such as Stonehenge and Carcassonne. Personally, I'd like to play Hungry Hungry Hippos, or Mouse Trap, but that's just me. While I'm sure the games I mentioned will keep us entertained for a while, hopefully a week or more, we will eventually need more games to play. Any suggestions? Keep in mind we need a game where more than two people can play, and that can also end within our lunch hour - which is why we don't play Risk.

Stay tuned for my next update, hopefully by then I can convince the powers that be to allow me to put a hammock up in the office.

Til next!

as apposed to board games, how about the disassociation game, one person says a word, and the next person has to say a word that has absolutely nothing to do with it: ie: 1st person says potato, second person says jupiter, third person says bus stop...
It's totally pointless but lots of fun!

You should play "Fact or c r a p" or "Screwed" those are both really good. The "Worst Case Senario" game series (there are 2) is good too, as long as you stick to a strict time limit on answers. Then there is the "Trivial Pursuit" series, just set a time limit and whoever has the most wedges at the end of the time wins.

rjx, while you are correct that most board games are available online, we fortunately do not bring our computers to lunch... that would probably mean we're having a working lunch, which i dont believe anyone here is fond of. plus! there's something great about trash talking in person as opposed to via im... lol.

Im thinking that some of the bottles were of alcoholic nature, esp. when he wrote this post. Also to note, most board games are available to play via computer and they offer multiplayer.

Hey, I *liked* Apples to Apples and it's not coz it sounds like my name. Hungry Hungry Hippos sounds tempting though... LOL

For the record, I'd just like to say that 2 of the bottles are mine, and 12 are XtL's!
