Is there a way to get expert in the tug of wars? I played the whole game through, got expert on all levels, and i did not get the trophy for expert levels. do you have to get it in tug of wars , and also how?

I do believe you have to get expert on all tug of war battles to get the expert medal; however, the tutorial on the first tug of war says you have to clear the board to get expert.  After figuring out a strategy (I'll make a thread for this in a minute) I did clear the board on all the tug of war battles, and still don't have an expert star on the cup on the map for this part of the game. Not sure why. Maybe someone else who has all expert can comment about this as well.

You do have to get expert on all levels including the tug of war levels. I am at that point right now. I have all expert except 5.11 which is the 5th's gym tug of war. It is very difficult to win the tug of war by clearing the board. It is a combination of speed and luck. LOL. 
 
Also, I am having a heck of a time submitting my score today. It keeps saying to try back later. Anyone else seeing this by any chance OR know what to do? Thanks! :)

Kel, please share the secret of how to clear the board with a knockout to get expert on the tug of war. I don't have the expert star on any of them yet. :-(    lol, Pinky

the best way is to go thru and get rid of all the 4 or more groupings then start chaning the colors with 3 in a group then u can attack the ones that are by themselves or in groups of 2 then u can get it down to where u can clear them all before another line gets added

You are correct. I did notice in the instruction area of the game it did state that you indeed have to clear the board to get expert in the tug of wars.  I was wondering if the tug of war affects your score? I can't see my score changing with it.

It seems the OP should have a medal for that and I am not sure why she doesn't either.

Also I have expert on every level of the game now and every tug of war except the very last gym so I am almost there. I find it very difficult to get expert on this last one. :)

thanks for replying! I have yet to get expert on the tug of wars, but now know you have to clear the board...HARD...but it makes the game challenging and that is always a plus for me. Thanks again.

Gosh guys I wish I could tell you a wonderful tip or technique but I really think it is luck and speed.  I did learn that you need to keep the tiles from getting anywhere near the right of the board right away, as that seems to shorten your game. I used Pinky's tip to click on one tile until it changed to the color I needed for big groups.
 
Try to knock out the big groups fast because it paralyzes the other team for a few seconds. If you can get that to happen right before the new column of tiles adds on at the point when you have it down to just a few last tiles, maybe that is they key?  I tried to make some big groups of colors working back and forth very quickly and then I would click on the big groups causing the other side to pause and then I was able to finally clear the board when all I had to do was change the color of one tile to yellow. I think that part is luck but if you have the skill and speed to get some big groups together but not click on them until the end that might do it.
