Aveyond 2,should I buy it?

Posted: December 19, 2008 at 06:24
I was just wondering if i should by aveyond 2 right now or should I wait for the third one to come? Should I get them both, aveyond 2 now and aveyond 3 when it comes out? I need opinions please. :)

Avenue Flo, although easy and short, is a fantastic game! Cant wait for Hotel Dash, DD5 and WD4!!!

If you like Aveyond I think you should buy it. No need to wait for Aveyond 3 to come out before, if that's good (which it probably will be) you can buy that too. Aveyond 2 is a really great game, I love it and bought it the second it came out.

Hello jdude,

Aveyond 2 was all right.  But I like Aveyond 1 better (that was before Amaranth decided to make some changes to the game which I thought made things worse).  I did like how the first Aveyond 2 came out and then the game developer couldn't decide or something so she kept changing the story and I got confused.  :S

Aveyond 3-I disagree with the above poster on this one.  Reading NTAV3's post about AV3 and that the idea for it may be from the Twilight series (it's in movie theaters now but I haven't seen it yet) has me bothered.  Don't want to play a game where the ideas are not totally original.

My two cents.

What makes you think the idea isn't original? There's nothing in the Twilight Saga about an evil vampire lord trying to block out the sun and turn all humans into his slaves. The Twilight Saga is about a girl who falls in love with a vampire. The name might sound the same, but vampires are in general connected to twilight.

Take a read at NTAV3's post and there are concerns:

http://www.playfirst.com/forums/thread/121797?show=10&i ndex=1

This doesn't look to be the first time that a name for a game has been taken from something else.  Maybe the storyline might be different but both have Twilight and have vampires in them.  Who knows?  AV3 could have romance in it, too-another similarity.

(And maybe that is true of vampires and twilight but why use the word twilight in the name of the game?  Why not use a different word-something that isn't a copy of something else?  Can be done.)

I heard things around where this so-called game developer has taken others ideas and not credited them-not even a thank you.  AV2-a member on Amaranth made a good suggestion with Amanda ended up using and this member never got so much as a thank you, let alone credit for the idea.  That bothers me how someone could do that.  :S

I've bought several games from Play First, but the Aveyond series is by far my favorite.  That and Wandering Willows.  I consider the other games I've bought to be money wasted, but not the Aveyond games.  If your question is about whether or not the game is fun to play, I'd have to say go for it and let others worry about politics!  Enjoy!
