hi. i have a bit of a money making problem, at least when it gets to the the really high scores.
currently i'm in the year 1958, i have about 1,5 million/week, and all 6 factories put together produce about 500 truffles a week that hit the market at 25k.
all together i find that quite handsome, but the leading highscores seem forever out of reach.
especially the player on 1st place, who made so much money in only 90 weeks - is that even real ?
what the heck am i doing wrong ?

Yeah...I'm thinking that some of the top top scores are probably hackers. They seem impossible to me too.

Hmm...

Make a truffle recipe with a lot of saffron and maple syrup. They are the most expensive ingredients.

Use the slot machines,silly.(The HIGHEST ones)

Dont forget to make a lot a special creations in all different types of confection. Most of my revenue comes from recipes that I made, especially the coffees...

Like you, I thought there's NO WAY players are making these impossible sounding scores without cheating, or hacking, or just getting under-handed.  So as I read through the entries in this forum, I saw it!  The players WERE being honest!  Yes, really!  They used the slot machines in the casinos in Havana and in Las Vegas!  
If you look into the high scores you'll see WooFFurr has made Quadrillions of dollars, but I didn't get it by making chocolates.  I kept upping the amount of each bet, and since I can't run a deficit, I never had to worry about "losing everything" just so long as I ONLY cashed out when I did have dollars in my account.  
So say you bet a million, and you got a jackpot (they pay out 8x your bet!), you'd now have 9 million dollars in your account!  Even if you continued betting and losing, you could litterally just keep betting until you accumulated all your earnings back and then some!  Just DON'T cash out when you've reached zero, keep betting!!!  
As well, every time you get a payout that increases your score, cash out, and then re-enter the slots window!  This way what you bet keeps getting larger and larger until you're able to bet say $500,000,000,000,000!!! I used only the HIGHEST PAYING button (one tenth of your accumulated money!) and you can too.  Once I realized I couldn't lose beyond zero, I just kept at it for several minutes at a time, growing my account in leaps and bounds, only saving and exiting the Game when my Score was about 100x more than my starting amount.  
And as far as the better casino?  
Use the one in Las Vegas called the "SILVER DOLLAR"  Its rate of return is much better!  Here's the BEST part:  while you're gambling your way to FAME and FORTUNE, time doesn't move!!!
As long as you stay in the port (remember LAS VEGAS) no factories are running low on ingredients, no special orders need filling, no ingredients are getting stale.  So however many weeks you racked up finally getting to Las Vegas and the "SILVER DOLLAR", that's the number of weeks the game will use to calculate your  WEEKLY EARNINGS.

So FluffyFuzz, those insanely high scores are NO LONGER OUT OF REACH:
-bet the HIGHEST AMOUNT EVERY TIME!
-cash out ONLY when your Winnings are MORE than you started with = this grows
your SCORE).
-as well, cash out ONLY when your BETTING amount is smaller than say the first 4 - 6
digits of your Score.  Don't leave the port, stay right where you are.  When you re-
open the slots window, your new betting limits will be higher. 
-don't worry about losing all your points because if you hit rock bottom you can continue
betting, so keep playing until you've won back everything and MORE!!!

I've tried your method, WooFFurr, but even though the game says I'm a quadrillionaire with earnings of 2 billion + a week, when I go to submit my score, it doesn't register as that.
