error on opening the game

I've played most of the way through, got expert on a lot, and now, whenever I try to open the game I get an error message saying "I must be connected to PlayFirst" to play this game"..

Well, I am :)

still can't play the game though, any ideas? (I'd rather not reinstall and start it again!)
