DD2 level 50

Posted: July 30, 2007 at 08:49
Level 50 is a strange level, I will do my best to keep things simple but this is going to be a long post. Just to make sure everyones knows about the podium glitch, when you go to the podium watch the heart on the front of it, as you wait the heart gets bigger, music will sound, the people in line will get happy and the heart will disapear, then your supposed to wait a bit before you can use it again. But if right after you hear the music and people get happy, you click the heart on the podium before it disapears, it will start the podium all over again, you won't have to wait for it. Be careful though, you must wait for the music and people to get happy before you click the heart or it will start the podium over too soon and take longer to make them happy. So when the game starts go to the podium and keep making them happy. Your going to seat 8 tables on the first round and no bookworms or old men so we need to wait for enough customers, make the podium go off 5-7 times.

Your first 8 customers you seat should be, 2 families, 2 joggers, 2 girls, 2 groups of 4 women, and 2 groups of 2 phone yappers. Put the 2 families at the 2 tables for 4, put the 2 joggers and 2 girls at the tables for 2 between the families, with the girls at the table closer to the cook. After you seat the joggers and girls, get the high chairs. Put the 2 groups of 4 women at the bar and put the 2 groups of 2 phone yappers in the last row of tables for two over by the mop bucket, put 2 yappers in the first table by the phone and put the other 2 yappers in the third table by the high chairs. Seat the customers in that order, always try to seat the slower people first, take their orders first, give them food first etc.. It helps them keep pace with the faster people and makes chaining easier.

Once everyone is seated you can give drinks to one table. Give drinks to whoever needs them the most or whoever has the least amount of hearts, if no one needs them give them to women or yappers as they tip better. Pass out any snacks and then take all the orders, wait for all the menus to go down before taking the first order. You don't want to start taking orders and then someone asks for snacks because getting the snacks will break your chain of taking orders, and of course the snack chain you may have had going before the orders has now also been broken. After you've taken all the orders you can again give drinks to one table, you don't have to give the drinks everytime, just if they are needed, then go to the podium and make people happy, just once. Pass out all the food and give one table drinks then either mop up spills or pass out snacks, which ever comes first, then give out deserts.

Chaining spills, snacks, and deserts can be difficult, at times you may have to break a chain, just do the best you can. After deserts go around and give out just the checks but make sure everyone is finished eating or already having desert before you give the first check. After the checks go to the podium and make people happy but this time click the heart a few times. I usually do it untill everyones heart meters are full and use this time to decide who I will sit where on the next round to make the best use of color bonuses. When your ready go and clear all the dirty dishes and then your ready to seat the second round. Normally I leave old men and bookworms untill the end of the shift but we have so many that we won't be able to get at the regular customers unless we get rid of some of them. So for the second round your going to seat 4 tables of old men and book worms, just take the first 4 in line and seat them anywhere that will make use of color bonuses.

See if you can't set the podium off once while you wait for them to order, pass out any snacks and then take all the orders and give drinks to one table. Go to the podium while the food cooks and then pass out the food, give drinks to one table and again see if you can set the podium off once before you have to give snacks and deserts. Give out snacks and deserts and while they eat desert go to the podium, set it off once then go around and give out just the checks , then go around again and collect the dirty dishes. Go back to the podium and click the heart a few times while you decide who you'll seat where for the next round. For the third round your going to seat 8 tables again, 2 families, 2 groups of 2 joggers, 3 women, 4 women and 2 groups of 2 phone yappers.

For this round, use the same seating arrangement as the first round, families at the tables for 4, joggers between the families, women at the bar and yappers in the last row by the mop bucket. Then do the exact same routine as you did for the first round. For the fourth round you will only have 5 tables of regular people to seat as the rest of the customers will be old men and bookworms. You'll seat 2 groups of 4 girls, 2 girls, a family, and 2 women. It doesn't matter where you seat them, just make good use of the color bonuses. Do the same routine as you did for 8 tables and then for the last round all you'll have is the old men and bookworms.

Seat them anywhere, just remember to use the color bonuses, and do the same routine that you've been doing only this time you won't have to go to the podium. As far as the phone goes, you don't need it but if you want on the third round you can call in the music guy. He'll boost the heart meters of the seated customers and help you get better tips. You don't need to do this though, i never do. I got well past the expert score and you should to, if you need to, at anytime you can click pause and either re-start or resume the level. I hope this helps you, if you have any questions or are still stuck just let me know. Good luck! (Wow, this took way more than an hour! Oh well, at least its done now!)

Good post Jen.
The final restaurant in DD2 was my favorite.
Level 50 was hard at first but when I finally got it, I couldn't stop. I replayed the game 8 more times and beat it each time. I love all the Diner Dash games but DD2 is my favorite.

Failure is an event not a person.
