Where can I find more quartz?!!

I had one quartz and didn't know I'd need it so I sold it. Now I need 2 and can't find any?

Me? A game-a-holic? You MUST be kidding!! LOL

Last nite I got some from an animal by the volcanic ruins in the Tropix.  Have found it in other places as well but don't remember where.  I don't think it's isolated to one area, because I just recently opened up the volcanic area. I believe I got some from animals in the area of Professor Meepole also.

charming creatures in the grasslands can get you quartz. It's not a tropic gem.

I am stuck on quartz too.  I have charmed animals over 80 times in the grasslands and have not gotten any, I can't move on or go anywhere.  Please help!!!

Are you using a pet that will charm more gems?  I found lots of quarts over in the grassland, near the school teacher and the area near Jeremy Jacks.  Try that location.
