Awwww mrey! You're so sweet to actually try to help.  I asked in tips over a month ago I think and only got one reply.  So no matter what, thank you, thank you.  I know it's vain, but I want my expert medal. :)

I got expert on a couple more levels last night, but Miliano 4 is killing me. After that I still need 8-10 at that location, all of Britlon, and all but level 9 of Joieville...so basically, the last half of the game.
I'm sure I can get a few more experts on my own eventually.
I just need to know if you have any tricks or advice that aren't in this forum.
I feel like there must be some part of the rhythm or pattern that I just don't get.

Any clues would be appreciated.

Thanks again,

you're welcome. i'm gonna try to remember the best that i can. i'm surprised this game didn't get more followers. it looks simple but in truth it gets tricky, really tricky. i worked really hard to get those expert medals. give me a little bit more time to play the game to refreah my memory. my computer had to be wiped out a while back so i had to redownload the game and all my expert game play is gone as well. i'll try to write again a little later.

Ok so obliviously I can’t replay the whole game and figure out what you need to 9it would take me months;) but after a while I remembered a few things but to warn you, you probably are already doing these things. So I’m even going to say the obvious…

color match the best that you can all the time, every time
Try to check out three people at a time. Even if you only have one blue person on the analyzer and they already have their purchase and other people come in, let’s say red and a green, leave the blue person that is done and wait for the red and green and red to finish with their purchase. Then check all three out.
Use the drink station like you use the podium in the diner dash games… religiously! I THINK people will only buy accessories if they have a certain amount of hearts. But the more hearts the better because then you will get a better tip when they leave. An important detail I learned was that you can give people drinks even after you give them their purchase.
When Mary comes along only put one expensive item on the mannequin. That way you will always know what she is going to purchase and you can make a bunch of them and put them on the rack. Having this item on the rack is also good for when Maggie shows up because you will also already know what she wants and it will be expensive.
Never lose Marco, it will cost you. And don’t worry about loosing other people because another one of the same color will pop right back in line.

Upgrade machines and drink stations first

When the movie star comes in check her out first because if I remember correctly she gives people hearts on the analyzers and in the line.

People always say you should make the slower, more patient people wait in line. Well, I’m kind of backwards I usually use them first. I put them on analyzer first because it takes them so long to figure out what they want, then I put the faster people on. They usually figure out what they want before the slower people. I make the faster peoples clothes and then I make the slower peoples clothes last. In the mean time give the faster people drinks. EXCEPTION: always serve Marco first but give him drinks until the other orders are done.

On the levels that there are all Marco’s you just gotta fly. But try and maintain as mush order as you can. Make sure you use the check out chain and use your drinks.

Sorry Joeswife this is all I can remember for the time being but I am going to play this game over. So I’m sure that I will be suffering along with you shortly. Keep me updated on your progress. If I come across anything that I don’t remember now I will post it here. I hope that this helps!!!! Thank goodness for this games replay value. sorry the last one was so unorganized.

Thank you so much mrey!

I sure don't expect you to replay the whole thing (unless you've been bad and need to punish yourself! LOL!)
I have already passed all the levels and gotten all the upgrades the first time through.
I just can't get the groove for expert on the last half.
I will definitely try to chain the check-out process better.  I think I sort of figured that out last night.  I stopped worrying about their happiness, since tips don't count toward the level score.  I will try upping their hearts now that you've explained more.  Is a happy customer more likely to buy accessories?
I am very bad at playing with tunnel vision, meaning I don't notice words and numbers as they flash when I'm playing.  Can you tell me what you believe are the most expensive items?
I think one person said the dresses are, but someone else said the pants are.
I think they cost more with a pattern though I don't know if one pattern design is more expensive that the other.  Is any particular fabric color more expensive?

Thanks for your time, and I'll keep you up to date on my struggle! :)

You're awesome!

ok so i'm about to head into britlon!?! so far i have expert on all the levels.  i was wrong... happy people don't ask for accessories you just have to make the goal that is set up for you. you've probably already seen this at the end of each level. i think happiness does have to with how much they pay for the item but i'll look again, i also get tunnel in this game...lol. i do believe that dresses are the most expensive item and i don't believe any pattern affects the price. and i also believe that having a pattern on it DOES affect the price.

i always put something on the mann. even if the level doesn't have maggie or mary in it. and i always use a dress, with a pattern from the bottom machince, with a fabric that comes from the bottom machince for easy access. and i don't think that a fabric is more expensive either but in the later levels i always used the gold color. dress shop is becoming very technical for me...LOL. .

well, i'm off to play.
p.s. thanks for asking me to help. i haven't played this game in over a year and i forgot how fun it was until today.

i forgot to tell you little trick i use on vikki and mary. it makes things a little harder but you can do it!

let's say vikki comes in first. she orders two skirts with a pattern. i make three and put one on the manni. then mary comes in and orders the same. but as soon as another vikki comes in a change the manni. it gets really confusing but that way you're selling two or three at once. you'll figure it out. or maybe you use this trick already!

Britlon 1 through 5 help

Posted: April 16, 2009 at 08:53
Britlon
1- This where I used what said about Vikki. When she orders something change the mannequin.
Score 2471
2- Make a pink shirt with flowers on it and put it on the mannequin. From there just use your color matching and drink station.
Score 3496
3- With this one just focus on check out chaining, color matching and drinks. Penny is fussy but if she leaves another one will come.
Score 3320
4- Same as three.
Score 3986
5- Same as three and four. Chain checks out, color match, and give out those drinks like there is no tomorrow.
Score 3049

Britlon 6 through 19 help

Posted: April 16, 2009 at 08:54
6- MATCH COLORS! Don’t worry about check outs as much and hand out a lot drinks
         &nbs p;  Score 3131, 21/24 customers, ½ accessories
7- Felicity is a worthy adversary! She can make or break your game. But more often than not she’s helpful. Play around with the colors she makes and don’t worry so much about checking out and focus more on colors. Try to make the other customers wait in line as long as possible until you have the color that you need.
         &nbs p;  Score 2732, 18/19 customers, 2/3 accessories
8- Switch mannequins if possible to make a few extra dollars.
         &nbs p;  Score 3839 19/21 customers, 4/4 accessories
9- I used 1 blue, 2 red and 1 green but I’m sure that doesn’t matter. I didn’t use a mannequin. Color match as much as possible and chain check out as much as possible.
         &nbs p;  Score 3529 22/24 customers, 9/9 accessories
10- Use mannequin and switch it out when Vikki comes. Don’t worry about matching Marco to an analyzer because you don’t want to lose him.
         &nbs p;  Score 4598 21/24 customers, 5/6 accessories
