Personally, I'm tired of the endless pc vs. mac war. but I read an article on slate.com "poor man's mac" Link
It talks about how mac's are rich snobs, supposedly, according to some microsoft ads.
I love my mac, and I'm not really rich or a snob. At least i don't think I'm a snob.

I have to say, I am neither rich or a snob. I still live on the same council estate I grew up on and I work in an office for basic wages.

I used mac computers when I was in high school and found them a lot easier to work on than PCs. I then started working and saved up my money to purchase my first one when I was 17, since then I have bought another one and hope to upgrade to the newer one once I have the money. Simply put, PCs get more viruses, have more complicated systems and are generally more hard to work than macs are (This is my opinion, I have a PC laptop I use aswell).

I guess I see where the article's coming from in a way. It's all about money and people choosing to spend more on a mac when they can get the equivalent PC for less. In saying that, there are people who will go out and buy the more expensive made PCs (i.e. Sony Viao ones) when they could buy an Acer or a Dell for a lot cheaper. To me that is crazier. Macs and PCs are totally different machines and you're either a mac or a PC person. Although I have a PC and work on them everyday at work, I am certainly a mac person at heart. Like you said and I agree I love my mac.

I dunno, you can get an iMac a lot cheaper than you can buy a computer + monitor for PC. I have a 24" iMac that I got for $1500. Try buying a 24" flat panel and computer for that!  :)

lol I get that snob thing a lot too.
I started sing Macs in college, I was in graphic design, and everythin was just so simple! I bought my first mac last year when I started university and I gave away my PC lol
But now I can only play games that are available for mac... *sigh*

I don't consider mac users snobs or rich--I consider them smart! I've used pcs for years, and usually end up buying one every 5 or so. I'd love to get a mac! They seem to have better staying power.
