Seriously: Is this Game Worth Buying?

Posted: July 25, 2009 at 01:00
Although I did play the First peek of this game, I wasn't that impressed with it, it really reminded me of "The Great Chocolate Chase," ( plus being very repetitive)and was wondering for those of you who have bought it, is it worth is? Is it challenging?

With the numerous glitches of past games like "Parking Dash" and more recently with WD3, I'm now extremely reluctant to purchase any new PF games in fear of having more problems.

Ignore the Freakin' Trolls! They're already running amuck all over the forums!

medals or no medals, I wish I had NOT bought this game. I think it is boring. The last two levels are impossible. The graphics are not good, the game play is slow and easy, all the way up to the last two levels.

Yes it is definitely worth buying. (Just my opinion.)

OJennifer, I am sure you are a kind person and I have nothing against you, but you seem to criticize 90% of the time management games here. You are quite a tough cookie to please:) It sounds like I am trying to insult you, but that is not my intention, so please don't be angry with my post. I know you are an active playpass member and you contribute to the forums as well...I guess it's that we have different expectations when it comes to games...

Hi Gevat.  I bought the game, and it is not bad.  It is not my favorite PF game, but it is definitely better than some recent releases like DinerTown Tycoon and Dinertown Detective Agency.  It is a little repetitive, but there is some replayability due to upselling perfume accessories and different mixing options.  It is not really that challenging.  I only had to replay the last level for expert, all others I got expert on the first try.  I haven't noticed any game glitches yet.  The only problem is the medals, there are only 4, and one is for being a #1 scoreholder.

hey there Gevat,

I dont know if I like this one or not.  I have played it once through all ready and was getting ready to replay again.

One thing I dont like is all the upgrades you buy you dont get to keep if you replay a level which to me is poopy its very hard to do better on your score imo.

Also, I have been replaying level one alot today to get a better score on somebody's else's score I saw and cant reach it.  Lissa, Im curious what is your score on level 1 ? for London ?

I noticed on level one you only get so many customers.  ON some of PF tm games the faster you move the more people you get not on this one.

I served all my customers and there is a clock on the bottom.  Time I served all my customers it was on the quarter till mark and it just ended my game no more customers came in at all .

I just dont know about this one, its not one of my favorite tm games that PF has put out.

Usually Im not to picky about the TM games here but IMO they just havent put out a good TM get yet this yr .  Diaper Dash equals poopy dash lol.

Have you noticed any of this Lisa or is just me ?   I have replayed level one a dozen times now and I got 808 as a score and for the life of me now I cant even get that score no more.

I think once again this will be a hard game to improve your score since you cant keep the upgrades

Sometimes I think I am overcritical. however, I was really looking forward to this game coming out and then it just sort of fizzled on me. I got really cranky with that one flower bit. I got really-really mad with how fast they got mad. They barely had their thought bubble up and they are hacked off about how long it is taking.

I was also upset that sometimes I click on a bottle and she just stands there. I click on a bottle, then the machine, and she goes to the machine, but doesn't pick up the bottle. The check is there. She's not. I click on a bottle and a customer, she walks over without the bottle. Again, the checkmark is there, she's not.

That's why I am mad about this game.

Hi steeler, my score for level 1 London is 783.  I have only played through once, I haven't yet tried to improve my scores.  Ojennifer, I forgot to mention the clicking problems.  That is annoying!

Well, I'm glad I read through your posts here.  When I first saw screenshots of this game, it reminded me of The Chocolatier games, which I am not a fan of at all.  I played about 45 minutes of the trial and it really didn't suck me in like most TM games do.  Nothing to complain about in particular, just wasn't fun.  Reading what you all have posted here, I'm think I'm going to pass on this game and wait for something better.

It is much like the chocolate game.  This game was much much to easy to get expert scores on.  At the beginning of the 2nd round I accumlated cash very quickly so had bought all of the upgrades less than halfway through that round.  That also meant that when I started the 3rd round, I was able to buy all the upgrades in the first level of the 3rd round.

All you really do to get the high scroes is treat the machines as an assembly line and give everyone all the upgrades.

hey Lisa,

That is all Im getting now also , I cant even get back to my 808 .  I have tried many different ways and nothing *sigh*.

Im really having a hard time replaying this game to try to better my scores.  I have tried a few levels here and there and I go up a couple hundred but nothing amazing.
