Has anyone been awarded the first place medal yet?  I haven't achieved first, but I was just woundering if anyone has it?

no, when I was in first place I did not get the medal and have sent PF two emails about it.  They replied with the normal clear the caches etc etc.. but this did not work.  But then I was wondering if you have to hold first position for a certain amount of time before you are awarded the medal (unfair really.).  I think anyone that achieves a first place position whether it is for the last 24 hours, last week, last month or all time should be awarded this medal.  I am waiting for a reply to my second email that I sent them today.

Hi Mumma, hopefully they can fill in your medal just by seeing the first place medallion you have.  That is proof you were in first place.

It's possible that the Golden Hamser Trophy Medal - "awarded for being a number 1 score holder" is for obtaining a specifc dollar amount in profit  versus First Place High Score Medal - "awarded for a first place score in a game mode."
 
It may be similar to Great Chocolate Chase where Medals were awarded within the game for making profit in the amount of $500, 1000, 5000, 100,000, etc.  I hope this is the case, because I hate grey out medals.
