Re: I'm Having difficulties with
Chapter 21...

Hi!
I believe there is no trick to solving
this. I found that there were puzzles you just simply
had to grunt through with what works best for you. I
did find it easier to concentrate on the sequence of lighted
squares without the sound on. At first you would think
the musical tones would assist in the memory of the
sequences, but it seemed to me that trying to memorize both
caused a noticible distraction. the finger method
worked slightly, I actually drew a chess board once and
tried to number them 1,2,3 and so on and it also worked
slightly to improve my chances. Though if you have patience,
and a drawn chess board, you can just
keep messing up
on the sequence and jot down the squares in order each
time they replay it til you have it all down. This
is not recommended if you are prone to migraines as the
tones over and over will drive you nuts. Some would
despair that this was too close to cheating, but I
personally hate this puzzle anyway! LOL! One annoying
thing that caught me everytime is the fact that the first
square in a sequence lights up instaneously after you have a
failed attempt. If you aren't right on it, you miss the
first square and don't even know where you went wrong when
you fail. I have a 17 year old brainiac with a
photographic memory. I hate this puzzle so much, but
love the game so much, I bribe him to come upstairs and do
the puzzle for me, it takes him 5-6 minutes tops. He's
available for rent to Anchorage PF fans!! :)
Good luck and hope you move on to DC3 soon!
