I just keep racking up points, my recipe book is complete but I can't go any further.  I don't know what's wrong.  I keep checking back in Jarkarta but she says I need a complete recipe book and to keep talking to people.  I'm thinking of deleting my profile and starting over.  Any ideas??  I'd greatly apprciate it.

Hi Drummer,  Sorry you're having this problem.  I think I remember having that one time too.  
It's been awhile since I've played, but here's some ideas that might pull you out of it.  
1. It may be that you haven't gotten all of the messages yet.  Maybe go to every port and open all of the places again... :(  Or try opening the medal icons on the map page (circling the date) to see if you have al of the medals.
2. Do you have the jet yet?  If not, it may be that - The message is usually triggered leaving Mahajanja or from brazil to africa or from south africa to casablanca.  
3. Have you opened all of the recipes?  Sometimes the game hangs up because the message out of the Moulin Rouge to get the infusion(?) recipe for cherry doesn't come up, but it looks like you have the recipe.  You have to keep opening Moulin Rouge and them go to see Evangeline - you may have to get or bring her the praline infusion recipe to get it? or bring her 20 pralines? I can't remember.
4. Have you made the white pralines for the guy on the himilayas yet? It's a request from Rowena in Australia. 
5. Have you opened the candy buyer in india?  Sometimes he hangs it up, and finally
6. Have you made the ginger truffle recipe for the russian?  He's the guy in the hat on the left side in the grey building that gave the ginger sauce recipe.  When you gave it back to him, he said something like "if you bring me X___ truffles, I'll pay you well" it doesn't show up on the messages for more than a few rounds, but it can hang up the game.
One more.  
7. the same goes for the bartender in New York, he throws in a request for either lemon bars or praline squares? If you don't get them to him right away it goes away, but hangs things up. 
I wish you luck with this - how frustrating!  I'd love to hear what happened :-))
