Level 26 Help

HELP ! ! There is no podium to keep the customers satisfied. I have tried for weeks and can not get pass this level.

I can help you but its a long one so I'll do it in more than one post.

Ok then, Diner Dash 2, third restaurant, level 26. This one is a doozy so expect that you may have to repeat it some more. You have to move fast on this one, time is everything. You'll have to do three rounds with 5 tables in the first two rounds and 6 tables in the third. With no podium you cannot leave bookworms untill the end of the shift so on each round you MUST get the worms seated first, take their orders first, and give them food first, otherwise it will mess up your chain and the people in line won't wait. After the worms do the joggers, girls, families, women, and then yappers. Always try to seat and serve in that order, although sometimes it may not be possible. You can pass out snacks but no deserts to anyone, there is no time for them to eat them. Even though they are asking for desert, you can just click the table and drop off the check. Snacks slow them down a bit to which I think is kind of the key to this level. The happier they are, the more likely they will order snacks, the more snacks you serve, the more it slows them down and thats not good so pay more attention to keeping the faster people with full heart meters happiest and hope they order the snacks. So when the game starts just wait a bit you'll get 4 bookworms, 4 joggers, 4 phone yappers and another 4 bookworms. when the second set of bookworms arrive, seat them. Shortly after a family will come, when they do, seat the joggers, then the family and get the high chair, then seat the yappers and get the yappers drinks. Take all the orders at once but make sure all the menus are down or they've already had snacks before you pick up the first order. Give drinks and pass out the food and give drinks again. Mop up any spills, pass out snacks and remember, no deserts. Go around and give just the checks and then go around again and collect the dirty dishes. For the second round seat 4 bookworms, 4 joggers, a family, 6 women, and 4 yappers. Do the same routine and then on the last round you have 6 tables to seat and some may be upset. You'll have 4 bookworms, 6 girls, a family, 4 women, 4 yappers, and 2 yappers. Seat the bookworms and then whoever you have to to keep them from leaving, then go to the phone and call the music guy. The music guy will help get their heart meters back up so you will still get good tips, you still should be giving drinks to help out and because you will have a table next to yappers who wont like it, they'll need drinks, also on this last round you can give deserts. I've done this many times and got the expert score but it's not easy. Don't forget, at anytime in the game you can click pause and either re-start or resume the level, it comes in handy. Ok, I do have another way but I don't know if it will help any. Your still going to have to be very fast, heres what to do. When the game starts you'll get 4 bookworms and then 4 joggers, as soon as the joggers arrive seat them at the table for 4 up front beside the table for 6. Now 4 yappers should arrive, seat them at the table for 4 by the mop bucket and give drinks to the yappers and pass out any snacks. Take the orders, pass out the food and any snacks, in the line you should now have 4 bookworms, 4 bookworms and a family. Watch the line, any second 4 more bookworms should arrive, when they arrive seat all 3 groups of 4 bookworms, use the 2 tables for 4 at the back and the table for 4 on the left of the yappers, above the joggers. Don't give deserts, just give the yappers and joggers checks, then clear the dishes. In line you should have a family and 6 women, seat the women on the bench and any second another family will arrive. Seat the 2 families, get the high chairs as you seat each family, and seat the 6 women. Your bookworms will be ready to order before anyone else, don't pick up the orders yet, wait for the others to put down their menus in case they want snacks. When everyones ready take all the orders, bookworms first, then families and women. Pass out the food and any snacks, no deserts. In the line you should have 4 yappers upset and you should put them on the bench now. Wait for everyone to be finished eating or asking for desert and then you can go around and give out just the checks, then clear the dirty dishes. Next you will have to seat the 4 yappers on the bench, put them at the table for 4 by the mop bucket and get them drinks. While Flo gets the drinks seat 4 bookworms and 4 women in the tables for 4 at the back, put the 6 girls at the table for 6, put 4 joggers at the table for 4 on the left of the 4 yappers, below the 4 women, and by now 4 more yappers should have arrived, seat them at the table for 4 by the 6 girls. Pass out any snacks then take all the orders and make sure you do the bookworms first. After you take the orders go to the phone and call the music guy. Pass out snacks, no deserts, give the checks and clear the dishes. All you have left in line is a family and 2 yappers, the yappers you'll have to seat on the bench and make sure the first table you clear dishes from is for the family, they will be up set and need to be seated quickly, if you have time, get the high chair and then seat the yappers. If the yappers are upset, seat them before you get the high chair. I don't know if this will be any easier for you, I've done it a few times and got the expert score. I also did it twice and lost the group of 4 yappers I had to put on the bench and the last group of 2 yappers, but I still got expert score because on the last round I gave out deserts, but this won't always work. Anyhow, try it and let me know how it goes. Good luck.

The main thing about this level is speed, you have to move quickly, as soon as the yappers arrive i click and pick up the first set of worms and seat them at the table but I don't let go of the mouse button and actually seat them or let them start reading menus untill the second set of worms arrive. I hold the worms at the table and as soon as the other worms arrive, i let go of the mouse button and grab the other worms and seat them. Then I do the same with the joggers, i hold them at the table and as soon as the family arrives I let go of the joggers and grab the family, get the high chair and seat the yappers. It sounds funny I know but it will give you an extra few seconds. Right after you seat the worms, before you pick up the joggers, if you put the yappers on the bench it will give their heart meters a boost. When you go to clear the dishes, pick up the dishes from what ever tables your going to need first for the next round, this way you can start seating while Flo is clearing dishes from the last table or two. Just around the time i was ready to give out the checks on the first round, I put a group of women on the bench and gave them drinks as soon as i seated them for the second round. After I took all the orders on the second round i gave the drinks to yappers, then passed out food and got drinks for the women again. While giving checks on the second round you will probably need to put the women on the bench and make sure the first table you clear is the table for 6 so you can seat the girls right away. I click so fast that Flo is just picking up the dishes from the third and fourth table while i'm seating the girls and worms. Then I seat the women and 4 yappers as she clears dishes from the fifth table, then i seat the family, and the other 2 yappers. At this point i either get drinks for the women, girls, or yappers if one of them is down to half a heart on their meter, then I go call in the music guy. But as long as they all have at least one full heart, then i go call the music guy first, then i get the drinks, after that i get the high chair. Obviously on this round you have someone next to yappers that won't like it so keep giving them the rest of the drinks. I also gave deserts on the last round. I just did the level again and got a score of 13155, i've done the level so many times that it's easy for me I know, but there is no reason you shouldn't be able to get expert as well, you only need 9000. You know how you said you have the first round figured out? Keep playing the level, but just the first and second rounds, after the second round re-start the level. Once you can do the first and second rounds ok, then add the third round. Its alot of re-starting, but it will help you in the long run. I always do it, as soon as i realise i've made a mistake or something, i re-start the level. You'll get it sooner or later and just think of that warm fuzzy feeling you'll get when you do! Hey jenny I tried your second suggestion and I did it! I'd about given up on it and then I found your post. It worked! I got expert! Thanks a bunch!

I did a combination of Julie's two posts. After I got really frustrated, I thought I would combine the two, a little from the first, a little from the second. By golly, I did it!! :-) I am addicted to Diner Dash. Practice really does make perfect. I am getting expert almost every time I try a level on DD2. Believe me, I am not trying to gloat or rub it in. Just be persistent and keep trying. Hapy dining everyone.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I finally beat this level, without the podium, it is pretty hard. I tried for about 8 hours on your first method, got frustrated, took a break and then read your second set of directions. I got it in 2 tries!! I am very thankful because I dont think I would have gotten without some help!! You are awesome, thanks again!! Wendy
