Hi all
I'm a pretty experienced DD player but I just can't get past this level. It's really frustrating me but I just keep losing customers (the celebrities are the forst to go, waiting in line).
Can anyone help meget through this level please. E.g. I'd like to know whether it's possible to pass the level by ignoring the apple and dessert requests or whether I have to give all those out to reach goal.
Any help appreciated!

well, you have a podium, USE IT! I found, and it works quite well in accumulating (SP?) a lot of points in many levels, that when you have impatient customers, then going for good seating in a small amount of tables is better than running around many tables and not being able to get to the podium.
Find the best color combinations that can get you x4 on as many seats as you can. Don't skip snacks and desserts! when you have just a few tables going at once, you can both go to the podium to sooth the line and also attend well to those who eat. I got over 28000 on this level. Long lines may mean the level will take a long time but that's ok, as long as you get lots of points. Try chaining in orders, servings, snacks and desserts and of course checks and cleanings.

Hi - thanks for that. I've tried that twice now but I don't have time to get to the darn podium! I wish there was some way of skipping a level!

DD4 Boardwalk Level 7: When the game starts put out your flowers and then go to the podium and wait for enough customers. The customers that arrive will be, 6 seniors, 2 tourists, 6 girls, 2 joggers, 6 celebrities, 2 bookworms, and 4 girls. You can start to seat when the 4 girls arrive and some of the customers you seat in the first round won't been seen untill you start seating as they are outside the door or have not arrived yet. If you need to stop to get snacks as you are seating go ahead. Seat and serve customers in the order I have listed and note that I have not always seated the next person in line, sometimes I seat people from the middle of the line, the back, etc.. If you need a minute to look for someone, click pause and you can still see the line, then resume when you are ready. Don't forget to make good use of color bonuses.
Round 1 = 6 tables
2 tourists
2 joggers
6 girls
6 celebrities
4 celebrities
Seat them and start passing out snacks. Wait for all the menus to be put down so you know no one else wants snacks, then take all the orders and then go to the podium to make people happy. Pass out the food and pass out snacks, as they start asking for deserts go to the podium to make people happy. Don't worry about making them wait a bit for deserts, its not like snacks where they will only wait so long. with deserts they will wait for them. Pass out deserts and go to the podium while they eat them, go around and give out just the checks, then go around again and clear all the dirty dishes and go back to the podium to make them happy. Put out your flowers and then make them happy once more before you seat the next round.
ROUND 2 = 6 tables
4 joggers
2 hungry men
2 hungry men
2 hungry men
2 hungry men
4 celebrities
You can do the same routine as before except that the hungry men will start to order again, and may want snacks, while the celebrities are asking for desert. So what to do is go to the podium when the celebrities ask for desert, then get any more snacks for the hungry men if you can, if you miss one, don't worry. Get the celebrities desert and go back to the podium while they eat it, then give them and the joggers the checks but don't clear the dishes yet. Take the second orders from the hungry men and then go to the podium to make them happy. From here you can finish the round with the regular routine and clear the dishes from all the tables at once.
ROUND 3 = 6 tables
4 girls
2 tourists
2 joggers
4 joggers
6 celebrities
6 women
Do the same routine as the first round.
ROUND 4 = 6 tables
6 seniors
6 seniors
2 bookworms
2 bookworms
4 tourists
4 tourists
You can do the same routine for this round and you can also split up this last round into two rounds if you want. You could seat the 2 groups of tourists on one round and then do the seniors and bookworms on the last round. Keep in mind that doing all 6 in one round will give you more chaining points, but either way will get you to an expert score. If you have any questions, just ask! Good luck!

I don't think I've ever, except for the black-chair level somewhere, done more than 4 tables at once, so there's plenty of podium time. I can probably get more points by chaining a lot but I usually prefer to go for good seating.
southlundon - don't give up! and most of all, don't let them customers stress you out!

I'm inspired again and will go and try it now (work can wait).
One thing I've learnt from your approach in general is to try different tactics. So far I've only been trying to seat and serve as quickly as possible and ignoring any chaining. I really appreciate your help!

Jan - I'm so grateful to you for that post. I made Expert by 'round 3' of seating people with a total level money earned of 36,580.
I hope I can remember to use these tactics in future levels!

Yippie! Glad you did it. I always use the same routine, Its the seating that has to be figured out. Just remember, that "restart" button is your friend. For example, when I first played this level I tried to seat 7 tables in round 2 instead of 6. But seating that 7th table allowed a group of 6 women to come in from "outside" and with no table to seat them in, I'd have to make them wait for the next round. There is no way they'll wait so I make note of it and re-start the level making sure I only seat 6 tables on round 2.
