Dream Day First Home - Beta testing in progress :)

Just thought some of you might be interested to know that I just finished Beta testing the next game in Oberon's "Dream Day" series. Now after "Dream Day Wedding" and "Dream Day Honeymoon" we have "Dream Day First Home". I think this game is outstanding and I could find absolutely no bugs or problems so I hope that means it will be released to the public soon.
Those of you who are fans of the other games in the series will really like this one as they have kept all the old charming elements and have added new ones as the saga of Jenny and Robert continues. There is also a big surprise at the end of the game so you are rewarded for finishing it. You have to choose between 2 houses and what you do and see depends on which house you pick. (One of the houses plays alternating classical music while you play and the other plays alternating jazz.) If you play both houses to the very end you get a BIG surprise when you finish and I won't ruin that for anyone. :)
I love the interactive storyline where the game changes based on what you choose. Great Job Oberon! I know there are a lot of Hidden object games out right now but this one is definitely one of the top as far as quality, gameplay and overall fun factor. I like my HOG's not to be too easy and this one has the perfect amount of challenge.
Keep your eye out for this one people it is great!!!! I guess they are going to keep making these until one day we see "Dream Day Retirement Home" LOL Fine by me I would play it!!! :)

You do kind of get to pick out furniture. Well, no actually you pick out which house they move into and in one of the mini games you get to refinish furniture for the house but I never saw the furniture I decorated actually used there so I am not sure if that would qualify as you getting to pick out furniture. There is a neat surprise at the end if you finish it but I think someone in this thread has already guessed it. LOL It is definitely worth playing I really enjoyed it and I have played every HOG out there. LOL If you do play, let me know what you think. Kel :)

I'm beta testing it right now. I love it. Beautiful graphics as usual and I love the music. A winner for sure.

I'm really enjoying this one! The music is fantastic (I'm a classical pianist, so that makes it a personal fav for me) and the graphics are great! I like the choice of mini games, too. Very nice game :)

It is very nicely done, agreed. But I got all the way to the end, and got stumped on that "Perfect Match" puzzle. There's no wild cards there, but a lot more of those red timer cards, that deduct time. (And after awhile all those things start to look the same) There's only 3 minutes, which isn't a lot ot time, plus I think the other 2 minutes puzzles, don't really give you a lot of time either. I know you can go the to options button, and select the carefree button, without the timer, but it doesn't work on the perfect match puzzles. That's my only complaint. It was just very frustrating getting that far, and running out of time. I tried it over and over, till I got fed up. So I don't kow how it ended! LOL Arrghh! But it's great Oberon will let you play as long as you chose. I don't know of any other game sites that let you do that.

LilBritian!
I feel your pain!! It took me about 15 tries to get the matching done on the mini games especially the last 2 levels of the game. Let me tell you what helped me finally get past that and you can try it. As soon as you start just scramble as fast as you can to get the 2 red stopwatch time deducting cards out of the way first before you start trying to match anything. If you can also get those arrows that rearrange the cards and the wild cards out of the way FIRST you will have a much better chance. That time is going to get deducted no matter what and if you have less than 30 seconds left on the clock and the deduct cards are your last set it won't give it to you ... I bet you know that already right?! LOL VERY FRUSTRATING!!! This strategy worked for me with speed and a little luck on the side. LOL
There is no way for you to proceed in the game until you get past this level so good luck!!!
Post back if you try my strategy and it works I would like to know if it helps. Have a nice weekend everyone! Kel :)

Are you able to save your game once you've started it.? One hidden object game I bought from another website doesn;t have the save game option. I like to play a variety of games at the same time. Thanks Candy Plus let me know when turbo pizza 2 comes out. I love that game. It is so funny and the colors are really cheerful.

PlayFirst and then do the laundry.

Thanks Kel. I wasn't able to play again, because I had to turn off my PC for the night. I told them in the survey, there's just not enough time in that 3 minutes, and that puzzle, with those skillets, all looked the same after you try over and over again. You really were determined after 15 tries! LOL I'm just not that patient, I end up getting frustrated, because I am a pretty fast player, but that 1 game, OMG! It was nerve wracking! LOL
Prettyhorses, I think Oberon is being very generous, they let you play until you decide to turn off the game. You can pause it for so time if you chose to do so. But overall, I don't know of any other site that will let you play for that long, they're basically letting you play the game for free, so how is that bad?

Hey Little Britain, I just saw your post today. You're welcome!
I have not been able to play because for some reason it's not accepting my pasword and I tried it on 2 different computers and even signed up under another screen name. Oh well, I will try again later. Glad to hear you guys are enjoying it.

I agree that this game was fun to play because it kept my interest and although some of the items were hidden pretty good it was still fun just to look at the rooms.Great graphics...and good story line.

We gamers take our games serious..in a fun kind of way !

Did you guys notice all of the brand name products in the kitchen? I saw Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes and Hamburger Helper boxes too. It was really cute and added something special to the level in my opinion. :)

I did notice that! First time I've ever seen "Product Placement" in a game. It was cute.
