I posted this same question before and no one seems to have an answer.
I don't think it's a waste of time to keep trying to better your score on each level. I did this for over 2 years with the original Diner Dash and now I'm trying to do it with DDHH. Even when I thought I'd done well, sometimes I've done better. There are only a few where it seems I have reached the max. For the rest I know I can do better, as it's obvious when I look at some of the higher scores,
