From what I know of this game here's a few general tips:

Do you have something on the mannequin so you are getting bonus points when people order that outfit? Sometimes two people order the same outfit at the beginning, in which case make three and put the first one on the mannequin, then you'll immediately get bonus points.

Do you have drinks (preferably upgraded) to keep impatient customers happy, and are you sending the most impatient customers ahead in the queue?

And are you selling accessories?

I don't know if that's any use, but fingers crossed.

haven't done the mannequin but thought that only helped with the old lady. the drinks don't resupply quick enough to keep everyone happy. i can't seem to get all orders out to chain a checkout. wonder if that chain is worth losing customer?
i am selling accessories...is it worth it??

That's great, glad the mannequin helped.

I'm sure you know this by now but in case any one else reads this, there is one woman (not the old lady, can't remember what she looks like, dark shortish hair I think) who always orders what's on the mannequin, but others can randomly order the mannequin item too, so you'll get extra bonuses for those.

You can also force the old lady to buy what's on the mannequin by putting the same thing on the rack as on the mannequin - the old lady always buys what's on the rack.

Where do you get the mannequin from I cannot see the option for the mannequin and am stuck on this level

The mannekin should be on the upper left hand-side by the front window. It's not something you have to select as an upgrade. Make sure that not only do you have something on the mannekin (preferrably a dress with a design on it, that will give you a high payback) but also have an extra AT ALL TIMES on the rack...because the old lady will always buy what's on the rack, and the starlet will buy off the mannekin as will one other lady (she's the fluffy one, kind of looks like Suki from Gilmore Girls...I forget her name)

Don't remove the items from the mannikin or the rack though, always make up the clothes...that way you'll always rack up the mannekin bonus. I live on that level when I play the game now, and I'm always well over 10,000 points over the Expert Goal.

If you do accessories, the ones that will ask for accessories BEFORE they order the clothes are the Suki lady, and the thin lady with the glasses and pony tail, and I think the bald designer guy. I never pay attention to their names, sorry about that.

By the time you reach level 10, you don't really need to collect the spools of thread if you have all the upgrades you want...so you can actually just leave them unless you just want to rack up the spool points just because. They don't add to your dollar amount...so you can afford to let some of the customers get down to one heart before running to get them a drink.

But the biggest tip is to put a dress with a designer on the mannikin and a COPY of the same dress on the rack and leave that copy on the rack at all times. And any spare second you have hit the fabric maker for that color of cloth so you always have it.

I just make sure everybody leaves with 5 or 6 hearts. Also I use the 4th analyzer just for Ms. Felecity, the lady who changes the color. That works very well. Also make sure the story is fully upgraded.
