Expert on Caveman Cafe Level 4
Posted: March 6, 2008 at 07:53
This was definitely the hardest level for me, but I was able
to get Expert a couple of different ways after figuring out
a few good "slowpoke" strategies, so I'll pass those along
and maybe they'll help. I'm sure one of the faster people
would have a method that gets even more points, but this one
should take you to Expert.
.
1. Completely ignore
the dinosaur. You need the points you get from mopping up
spills! And it's even better if you can get a chain of
spills. So usually I wait to mop until after I've picked up
all the orders, before passing out food, and again after
I've picked up the checks and before seating the next
round.
2. You need flowers every time.
3. You need to get high colour bonuses. I paid particular
attention to the green seats. Remember that it's OK to sit
a party of two at a table for four or a party of four at a
table for six and get bonuses there.
4. For most
rounds, I just sat 3 groups and used the podium a lot. This
let me keep both the people in line and the people at the
tables happy, as well as bumping up colour bonuses. The one
exception was the very first round, when I sat the first 3
groups plus the first group of 6 cavemen (otherwise I would
end up losing some cavemen group from the line at some
point.)
5. Go ahead and use podium twice after
clearing dishes and before seating the next round. This
helps pump up hearts. My usual routine: give checks. Pick
up dishes. Use podium. Mop. Put out flowers. Use podium
twice. Then start seating.
6. You probably
already know this one, but make sure you are only
single-clicking when people are done eating, to pick up
their money and leave the dirty dishes on the table. Get
the money from all tables before going back and picking up
the dishes from all tables. This gives you two chains.
7. If you're in the middle of a chain and a table
calls for the mop, ignore them until the mop bubble goes
away. Then you can go ahead and finish the chain you were
working on. If it's a seniors group, they can take a long
time so you may want to stand at the podium while you're
waiting.
8. At the start of a round, use drinks
and the podium in between chains. My usual routine is: seat
everyone. Run back to the podium and pump hearts. Pick up
orders. Run back to the podium and pump hearts. Give out
drinks. Mop. Give out food. Run back to the podium and pump
hearts. So I keep everyone pretty happy. This is much
easier to do when there are only 3 or 4 groups seated.
That's pretty much it. If you can keep everyone at
4.5 hearts or higher when you pick up money, you're getting
good colour bonuses, you're getting occasional mop bonuses,
and you're getting chains of 3 for everything, you should be
able to just make Expert.
Good luck!
