can't enter sahara

i haven't been able to enter sahara because when i try to do so, the game hangs up and the mouse goes haywire with zillions of mouse pointers on the screen. i thought it was just a minor glitch of some sort but after having played the game all over again from the beginning for the THIRD time, I'm helpless. I'd really appreciate it if someone suggested a solution.

I'll bump the post for you. A few poeple who had this problem were using an old version of the game.

You were too worried about food to go collect food. Now you're all DEAD! Hope you're happy. stupid v
