In the Diner Dash Hometown Hero Gourmet game, I see some users who get to pay dollars, but how about those who live far from the States, those who do not pay dollars? What will they do? They'll just waste their money! Besides, where can we pay the money if we want to buy? Why can't it be free for everyone? it's just like clubpenguin.. very, very unfair for the others... I wish we could change this, but it's up to the moderators... How unlucky could all the others get?

There are a few levels in the Zoo that are free .... unlimited play. But you do have to pay for the rest of the levels. Do you mean you don't have enough money saved up to buy the game? Or did you mean you do not have US Dollars?

Otherwise my reason is:
It's still pretty new, people got payed to work on it, it's popular, it took a while to work on it, and the good things in life aren't free.

My advice, don't ask for the activation code. People will click the "Report Abuse" button. :)

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of a business venture?
I'm sure that the people who designed these games spent a lot of time and energy and I believe that they should be compensated for it. After the intial cost of the game, what's $5 every so often.
If you can't pay, I'm sure that there are plenty of free online games that you would enjoy too.
I've spent $20 on a game that I hardly ever play anymore.
With Diner Dash Hometown Hero, I have definetly got my money's worth plus some and always look forward to the next new restaurant to add to my adventure with this game.

lol, I live in Canada too and I have all the stuff. It's definately worth it to buy it. If you don't have the money, save! Right now with the birthday savings, everything is a lot cheaper. Anyone around the world can buy anything play first.

there is no free lunch. you need to decide what you want then save up for it or do odd jobs to earn enough for game.
with all the add-on stuff for this game its worth the money hands down and if you want it badly enough then save your moneyor make a choice to buy it and not the latest cd

Go to Iwin games, there you can download dinder dash hometown hero , absoloutely free for unlimite dplay. however there is no multiplayer option :(

All people start their adult lives (once their parents stop giving them food and a place to live) with basic needs. They need food, they need a place to sleep.

They start out with a few resources. They have some physical strength. They have intelligence. They have time.

Now it's up to them to figure out how to use what they have to get what they need.

Time is always valuable, to everyone.

If someone said to you, "I want you to spend 1,000 hours to make something that other people will use," wouldn't you expect to get something for your time?

If you assume nothing else went into it but time, that's time that the game developers could have spent doing other things.
So it's natural that they should get some compensation for it.

The same holds true in every part of life. Sure, we all do some things for free, just to be nice, or to help those in trouble, or for the ones we love.

But most of our time has to go to providing ourselves and our families with the necessities of life. In most countries, that means working for a living, or at least working at growing our own food.

Games aren't free for the same reason that computers and clothes and bread aren't free. Someone else's time went into making them available for the rest of us. It's only fair that that time be rewarded if you want to make use of the creation.

IWin does not have the newest diner dash for free.. its just regular hometown hero, not gourmet.

I think the newest one should be free also! I have been able to play the previous 3 games from start to finish for free so why not?

I can't wait until someone makes this download able without expense.
