I too am having the same problem - I purchased the CD via target - it reads Vista comptability and I got msg "DD2 has stopped working" and having every concievable fix - updated all drivers multiple clean installs and then PF support suggest that I download - I did and now the new message is "adapter application has stopped working"
 
the game works on my Vista laptop but I need it on the desktop - my specs exceed those outlined on the packaging... PF support can't give me a a lead or or a fix with this. I've tried everything!
 
I running higher end games and flight simulators with no issues as well as PhotoShop yet this "baby game won't run.." It seems to be poorly written code and PF should have every possible fix available... These problems are not new - I've seen postings dating back 2 yrs
 
Come PF I know you can do better - Your support page offers no help - every response is demmed to be a hardware issue but that seems like a cop out!
