MuffinPaws, just keep trying.  I had problems getting the goals at first, but I just play it over and over until I get the hang of it.  By the time you've played the level over about 3 or 4 times, you can get into a rhythm with it and will be more likely to remember who needs what and when.  I have to say the last few levels are all hard and I had to spend ages going over and over them to get expert.  Work on one level at a time and don't give up.  I know it can be frustrating but you can do it!!  Also if I remember rightly, the last couple of levels are when you need to chain as much as possible, this will get the bonuses especially if you leave certain products till after the rooster comes, cause the bonuses is what puts your score up.  Good luck and I hope you pass! Thank you!  I have been stuck on level 48 for the longest time.  After reading your suggestions, not only did I pass it (after a few more tries), I actually got expert. :-)  So happy to move on, wish I would have thought to check a forum a long time ago!

Yeah, level 48 is really hard.   I've gone all the way through the whole game.   Levels 48, 51, and 52 and tough to beat.  I got expert on every level except those 3.   I managed a 47,621 on level 48, but it took be quite a few playing hours!   Yes, chaining is the key and it seems like you can't get a 2 or 3 animals to request the same thing simultaneously for chaining within their group, but I finally managed to get close enough.   Now trying for expert in the 3 levels I couldn't get it in.   
 
For level 48, try to keep the chickens pleased as much as you can, so their hearts don't drop off.   Then go fast from item to item, so I try to get several rounds out of 'em while waiting for the other animals to wake up at various pts.  Also, the goat and cows milk bottles should be clicked on at the same time to chain those together before grabbing the eggs and other stuff.  You'll notice that clicking on the "produce" from each animal will result in a different chaining combo .... milk, harvest, shearing, etc.  so you always want to make a clean sweep with each animal's category without bouncing back and forth.  Also, ask for lemonade like crazy.  And, do it in between chains to always keep it flowing.  Some chains can be broken if you go up and grab the lemonade just as it starts flashing in the middle of a chains.  Drinks and grain/hay don't seem to get their chains interrupted by grabbing lemonade in the middle of a chain, but the other functions seem to do.  
 
Cows and sheep sleep longest, and I found I could get a couple round of eggs and goats milk and set it up for the next chaining round when the other animals wake up and join in. 
 
Not sure if this helps ...I think it was just that I finally must have clicked on the right combo after countless tries, but can't recall the exact sequence!

Just got the goal - finally :) no expert yet, but glad to finally pass this level. I stopped trying for chains and went for speed. Yay :)
