I can say without question this is the hardest game of any i have yet to play. Even the DD games didn't give me this much trouble! I did manage to get expert on all the levels tho after many many many tries....except for garden 5-level 9, still working on it, won't give up til i make it!!!

I have made a walkthrough for 5-9. I did it awhile ago for someone else, and we had a few posts back and forth about the level. I will copy them here for you, although I made have to do it in more than one post.

Finally! I also now have a plan for this one and yes, I got the expert score with 6200 mana left over. It took a day to get a plan that worked, but once i did, i got it in 4 tries. Ok, first off the blue cabbage and the pink tunip in the bottom left we will save and the pink and blue roses at the top right we will save. Hit spells when the game starts to see where things are. Water the two roses and get your weeders going on the two small bubble weeds in with the cabbage and tomato, get at the rocks water your one cabbage and turnip, keep watering roses and veggies and do rocks and weeds down buy the veggies, clear this area first. As soon as you can, harvest the cabbage and turnip, dig holes in the pink and blue fairy rings, buy two wheel barrows and move your pink and blue roses to there like colored fairy rings. When you buy wheel barrows upgrade your spray and weeder also your shovel if you have enough. Keep at the weeds and rocks, working away from your roses, and keep your two roses safe. When you can upgrade the spray to a 4 and weeder to 4. The storm cloud should be comming now and you should have enough to buy some roses. Try to get the roses in the ground before the storm, if not after. You must hurry speed is everything here and the second storm cloud comes fast. Remember to let the bug crawl on to the flower, then spray, two bugs can't occupy the same space. Now it's just a matter of getting more roses in the ground. Buy as many as you can when you can and get them planted as soon as possible, at the end I had my pink and blue, 8 yellow and 17 or 18 red. The trick is to get them on the same schedule so you can harvest at once, watering with rain clouds helps this happen. i did upgrade my watering can to a 4 though to "spot water" when weeds showed up close to flowers. When a flower gets grey is slows the growth and the more you water, the more they bloom, I tried to water twice between harvests. Don't expect to get it the first time, your good if you do! Good luck!

Ok, I have a little more information for you and I made some changes just for you. If time is your problem, this should help save you some. First go for the two bubble weeds (Planteater), then the rocks that are there with them, then water the pink rose and blue rose, the one turnip and the one cabbage as before, keep all 4 watered, you have to have them and your not going to move them yet. Keep at the weeds and rocks going for the smaller ones first, after the first two bubble weeds I went for the two over with our turnip we need so badly. After the turnip weeds, your cabbage and turnip should be just about ready to harvest, once you have them, hit spells. At this point you should have enough mana for 2 wheel barrows, a second spray a second shovel and a third weeder. Back to the game, I got on the weeds (small ones first) dug the pink and blue fairy rings and moved the pink and blue roses to the fairy rings. The second I had the mana, I got a third shovel and fourth weeder. Back to rocks and weeds and of course whatever friends show up. About now roses should bloom, harvest them and upgrade your weeder once more to make it 5 and your spray twice to make it 4 and buy a fourth shovel. Back to weeds, rocks and critters and once you harvest your pink and blue roses 2-3 times total, not each, you should have enough to buy one set of roses. Back to the game get them planted, do some more rocks and weeds, harvest another rose or two and buy another set of roses and water can, get them in the ground. The first storm cloud will come just as you finish planting and the second will come right after it. Now I've done this before and planted after the storm clouds, to be sure I didn't loose plants to pests, but things will work out much better if you get them in before. Get through the two storm clouds and you cannot loose any flowers, if you do you probably won't make it. Don't forget to harvest what you can during the storms and to stay on the weeds as well and when you have things under control get digging holes for more roses. When the storm clouds are done you should hopefully have enough for 5-6 sets of roses and 4 rains, get them and get them planted. Your going to try for 22 roses total (11 sets), not including your pink and blue, (If you don't think you'll have time just get the 20 roses). and as of now you should have 14-16 planted, so you will need to get 3-4 more sets and some rain clouds, buy 2-3 rain clouds when you buy the roses. Get your 3-4 sets as fast as you can and get them growing. Harvest all at once then make it rain and when the first roses start to bloom, make it rain again, harvest and do it again. Keep watch on the mana, as soon as it hits 30,000, get on that statue button. I usually get the warning bell and I get one last harvest that will put me over the 30,000 mark. For you though it might be better to start building your statues when you hear the warning bells, don't wait for the last harvest. The first statue is 8,000, the second is 10,000 and the expert is 12,000, so buy your first two, get that last harvest and watch the mana count. Also remember to try and plant right after a harvest or just before and after you plant, you will harvest already planted flowers once before the newly planted ones catch up. Also remember weeds and bugs are different every game so that luck thing has alot to do with it too. You need the right kind of bugs and the right amount of weeds to show up as well. If this still doesn't help, let me know where you are on the clock when you do the steps and how much mana you have. I'm sure you'll get it though, just keep at it. It wasn't easy for me either and even now, I can always get the first two statues but I usually have to do it a few times to get the expert. You'll get it I'm sure and just think of that warm fuzzy feeling when you do! Good luck!!

Ok, we might as well figure this out now because if your going back to try for expert, this is the only way I know of that works most of the time. It will all depend on how many red roses you get, if you dont get enough, it won't work. You are only given 2 roses to start with and the rest of your plants are veggies. You'll notice that the garden is shaped like a diamond and if you look in the top corner of the diamond/garden, you will see your 2 roses, 1 pink and 1 blue, in between dry leaf weeds. The pink rose is the one on the right with a little bit of green showing and the blue rose is the one on the left and all you can see of it now is the little purple bit sticking out of the ground. On the left side of the garden, from the bottom corner to the left corner you have 1 row with 3 cabbage (inside row) and 1 row with 3 tomato (outside row). On the right side of the garden from the bottom corner to the right corner, you have 1 row with 3 turnips (inside row), and 1 row with 3 pumpkins (outside row). The first cabbage in the bottom corner and the first turnip in the bottom corner are the ones you want to save along with the pink and blue rose. The other thing is the statues, you can't buy any untill the very end, if you buy even one before the warning bells it won't work. You need the mana to buy flowers, if you buy the statue too soon you will never have the time to save enough mana to buy the plants you need, so don't buy any statues untill the warning bells go off. I promise you this works and will get you expert score, it just make take a few tries to get the hang of it and get the right plants. Let me know how it goes when you get there and if you need more help with it, just let me know. Good luck.

Thanks bunches Jen! I have talked to you in the past about some of the DD levels and you were a great help. I will try this, it is really frustrating to get expert on every level except one!!! By the way, I have long wondered how you are so good at these things, you seem to be the ultimate gaming pro!!! For anyone else who may read this post and need help also with plantasia there is a great walkthru for every single level on gamecafe.biz....that helped me get expert on all the levels but hasn't help on 5-9. I'll let ya know how i do Jen, again thanks so very much!!! andie

Thought I might add alittle to Jen's strategy :)

As well as saving the turnip and cabbage at the beginning, I also save the tomato underneath the cabbage. So when you start planting the red roses, you have a ring to multiply the points. You really do have to get lucky to make expert by getting more red roses than yellow, even with the tomato ring. I got an expert score with about 18 roses total (more red than yellow) plus the pink and blue one. Even then, it does take a few tries, but keeping the tomato does help:)

Amazing!
Thanks for the great info - I was beginning to despair that I would never make it through this level.
I'll have to follow your tips and finally finish the game!
Thanks again for sharing!
