Is it generated randomly? Or is there a specific way of setting a gender to a baby?

I think there is a cheat code to do that but I have no idea how to do that. I hope they have that in VV3!

The gender is generated randomly. There is no way to control what you get. I am speaking of VV1&2. Maybe they will change this in VV3? Can't wait to find out! :)
