Saving game help

ok, so I picked up the game in a boxed CD version this week. Was playing 2+ hours then had to stop. and there is no save feature anywhere that I can find. Has anyone else had this happen? or is it a bug? bad programming on this version?
Are the patches or updates that can be found?

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it

It should save automatically when you quit the game. There isn't a save button or anything.

The game I bought is The Great Chocolate Chase, and it does not have Save button for you to click, it only said- will automatic save the game, but when I re open the game, there is no game has been saved, I have to start all over, and again, after I quit, and re open, it start from Level 1 again. Please help!!!
