A Mother's Day Gift Suggestion

Posted: May 11, 2008 at 04:19
As a young girl we watch our mommy's and want to be just like her. We play with our baby doll's and talk on our phones. We then get embarressed by mom. She is so old fashioned. Why can't she be more like the other mom's they are so cool? She doesn't know what it's like to be 16. She can be so dumb sometimes about what's going on. Then we get older and move out on our own. We realize that mom wasn't so dumb after all. We call her for advice. I burned the chicken I was cooking for my husband's boss. What should I do? or the baby won't quit crying.

Then all of a sudden our kids are grown and mom has suddenly become mother. I am 52 when is she going to realize that I am an adult. It is so frustrating. She acts like I am 16 sometimes. I wonder why the kids haven't called me. You would think they could at least call their mother from time to time.

That is when it hits you. No matter how old they get your mother wants to be an important part of your life. So tomorrow give your mother a call. Ask her for a recipe that you can do blind- folded. Ask her anything you can think of. Let your mom know she will always be needed.
