Attention Playfirst

Posted: July 1, 2008 at 03:44
I have noticed lately posts that tell us how to reduce our grocery bills , get free x boxes , etc., etc.
Is there any way to prevent these posts ?? They make me abosolutly livid . My seventy year old Mom got ripped off for a quite large sum of money , thinking she would save hundreds ...when she joined "The Club".My Mom and Dad are naive' they have no idea how many schemes rip them off . I found my Dad writing a check for 100.00 to send to the President of the U.S., who wrote a letter saying he needed dad's help !!!!!! The fact that people take advandge of our senior citizens revolts me. I can't watch my parents 24/7 , I have a job , husband , daughter , home , pets , etc. And when I do get to relax and play games and vist forums , I see this spam junk. I have to stop now , my BP is climbing up the charts ...Please help us get these vultures off our game sites.
Respectfully,
Tracie Miller a.k.a. DB

dennysblonde, I'm really sorry to hear that that happened to your parents. That is utterly horrid! It's so sad to see a perfectly nice site have a bit of negativity connected with it.

Hi dennys! Although I don't think there would be a way for playfirst to avoid these types of posts, I have noticed they pull them off as soon as they are aware of them. I hate posts like that and it makes me angry that people do that type of stuff. I have noticed that playfirst seems to care about our opinions so I would go to the sticky thread in the lounge where we can post some suggestions for playfirst and suggest a way to get rid of spam. :)

Thank You Dash dog and Cyndi Lou . I urge every one to hit report abuse when they see that spam junk . As for me , I am now obsessed with dairy Dash ,I have played it over and over , it is my fave dash game yet....Parking Dash was pretty cool , i tested it , think it comes out next month. Still for me , nothing beats the farm!!!
Thanks again

I would definitely click the report abuse button at the bottom of the posting....also you might want to mention to your parents that they should check with the BBB and the local chamber of commerce association in the city the business operates in prior to ordering anything from them. Also, for anyone who is interested....please recommend to the seniors in your lives to be wary of those as seen on tv type products. My own mother is in collections perpetually because of something that she ordered on tv that was auto drawn out of her account. When she cancelled the monthly product they sent her to collections for some stupid reason. Every month she gets a letter and every month she has to call and argue with both the collection agency and the company that she ordered it from. (If anyone is interested it was the Susan Lucci dermabrasion kit and her vitamins). Be careful with stuff like this, even products associated with well known celebrities can be scams.
