Though I usually like games with a visible, female protagonist, I have found myself really involved in this real estate game. Interestingly, it is an action game rather than a simulation, with a demanding race against the clock on each level. There's plenty of variation as you build different houses and public buildings in a series of neighborhoods with different atmospheres - mountains, Texas countryside, the beach. Each neighborhood has its own mayor who sets tasks for each level - minimum rental income, the construction of a museum, movie theater or other building, a certain number of a particular type of house. Managing materials, cash and available lots takes some strategy, while the encroaching deadline gives plenty of excitement. A game I didn't expect to like as much as I do.

A *Great* game. You build up a series of neighborhoods, gradually increasing in house size (from the tiny Rambler to the huge Castle), buying blueprints for larger houses, a lumbermill (to get your materials cheaper), a workshop (to get your workers cheaper), banks (donate one to avoid property taxes, build a second to earn interest), and assorted specialized buildings. The game smoothly becomes more difficult, and the expert level scores harder to get. When you've scored expert for all of the neighborhoods on a level you unlock the ability to play in "casual" mode for that level. Casual play is a nice change, since you're not working against the clock, just against your previous scores for that event.
You really get your money's worth on this game. You can play for ages, replay levels to beat your score, unlock casual mode, and work on the different challenges. I highly recommend this game... it's a lot of fun, the challenges are always there, and the more you play the more tricks you discover and the better your scores become. WONDERFUL

Fantastic Game. You need to build, sell, demolish, upgrade and construct some new houses to add to your growing income. But you must do it all within a time limit.

A great game where a strategy goes to a new level. Not a beuty game, and not a shopping game, but a construction game with beutiful graphics and where you have to think on how to succeed.

Build-a-Lot quickly became one of mt favorite games! Build-a-Lot is a housing development simulation game with a rapid fire pace that is quite addicting! Purchase lots of land, build grandiose mansions and castles to become the real estate tycoon! The game offers several modes of play and can be quite challenging in the timed version, or relaxing fun in the untimed mode. I really enjoy this game and bought it as soon as my trial was up!

This game is very addictive, and loads of fun! The tutorials are easy to understand, and each level unlocks something new, keeping the story moving. Buy, upgrade, sell, build, and demolish houses all while balancing incoming and outgoing fees based on rent and material expenses. Very original game :)

Quick to learn and fun for real-estate fans. To excel at this game, you have to do it all -- flip houses, hold real estate, manage material costs, and balance your labor force, while staying within your budget. Easy enough to pass each level, but more challenging to get the coveted yellow star. Worth playing more than once.
