The unique concept of 'Hot Dish' makes it stand out among all the other restaurant-themed or food-themed time-management games like 'Diner Dash' and 'Delicious'.
In this action game, you have to actually prepare your meals, not serve them to clients. There are several tasks to be performed (chopping ingredients, cooking, baking and mixing food) within a time frame. Stars are awarded for quickness as well as preciseness of the task. The food looks pretty realistic and you can constantly buy new meals that are more difficult to prepare but give you more stars. The first restaurant contains Italian cuisine and the recipes sound pretty authentic in their short descriptions. Managing in time can get quite challenging and you do lose a lot of accuracy towards the harder levels, but it always remains fun and not too hard. In between some levels, there are match-making mini games in which you can earn a bonus for preparing your meals.
Do try this game out, it's a refreshing change.

This game was great. An innovative way of combining cooking and time management together. I love the three restaurant themes: Italian, Chinese, and French. As you progress in the game, it gets more challenging, which makes this game lots of fun.
I definitely recommend that you all try it out. :)

This is a challenging game, you need to multitask and watch out for timing of the different dishes at the same time. It's different from what's out there, so woth a try.

I think hot dish is a fun but complicated game. It is a game where we can make our own menu choose our own food to put into a menu. But sometimes i encounter problems when after i finish a dish too quickly, it will not taste as good as it first came out because it gets cold thus lose the number of stars for that particular dish. But is a great game anyway. :)

Kawaii! I havent yet reached the oriental stage of the gourmet cooking, but kawaii ... just "clicks"! Hot Dish offers an upbeat soundtrack along with crystal clear 'The Pie Hole' kind of kitchen graphics (circa pushing daisies) which makes you really want to cook all those mouth wattering cheesy dishes, not to mention make that kichten your wallpaper! Even though each action including stirring and shaking needs to be minutely played out, the challenge in this game is fun and not completely insurmountable! It builds upon Go Go Gourmet and thankfully does not incorporate the (now) age-old storyline of restaurants/enterprises going out of business or some big bad tycoon wants to take over our quaint little shop routine. It's just a child returning to an eccentric and very Italian family. Thumbs up all around!
