This is a really fun game. The HOG factor really blends into the overall story and doesn't overpower the game. The items are not too easy or difficult to find. The conversation between the characters are stimulating and real. The graphics are detailed and definitive. The minigames are inclusive of the items and clues found in the chapter and not just added to increase the length of the game. Try this game, it's fun.

I really really liked this game. I'm not usually that into Hidden Object games, but I thought this one was very fun. I thought that the riddles to find objects was cool, and the level of difficulty was perfect for someone like me (I can lose patience pretty quickly).
The story was very very detailed and the first time I played, I skipped it without realizing how important it was to listen to the story. When I got to the end of the first chapter I started over and listened to the whole story. I didn't mind wasting some of my 1 hour because I am definitely buying this game.
Oh and the mini-games are great! Overall I think this game is really interesting because everything you do in this game is done for a reason. Sometimes the items you are looking for are clues to one of the mini-games. Other times, things you heard from a cutscene might be needed to help you write a headline.
I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to play a relaxed game where they can also think.

I love HOG games and this game is no exception. It has a really good bonus feature where you can join hidden objects if there is more than one of the same (A little bit like dot to dot). The story fits together well with twists and turns all the way through. The graphics are great and the game is stimulating. I have only had it for one day and have played it though twice already. If you like HOG games, I am sure that you will not be disappointed. A thumbs up to PF.

This is a great HOG, it has a great mystery storyline and the mini games are fun. The objects are pretty easy to find and the extra element of hunting bells is challenging as well.

Nice fun game. Good graphics and accompanying music fits the era well and creates the right sort of moody atmosphere. Dialogue is actually not bad but you can also click through it if you wish. Storyline is good. Gameplay of finding the items ranges from easy to hard enough to keep your interest. Mini games are OK but some are slightly dumb. Definitely recommend a trial and maybe even to purchase just to see how the story pans out.

Easily one of my new favorite games. I played the first demo hour and immediately purchased the game and then sat and finished it in one sitting. A great story line, good mini games and not impossible but also not too easy to find hidden items.
Highly recommended to anyone.

This game is fun. Completed chapter 4 and the trial hour passed by fast. Story is good and that there are many things to find in a scene. The clues to find objects are neat.
Connecting objects together are fun and very satisfying. Can't spot them all the time but I could still click on them one at a time.

I loved it!
PlayFirst really utilized all the stylistic experience from Chocolatier 2: Secret Ingredients in perfectly hitting the spot with the Prohibition-era New York scenes. The artwork is amazing, and the music smooths into the scene, not standing out loud but making a tangible ambiance.
The puzzles were just the right difficulty so neither a complete beginner would find it too hard or a seasoned hidden object hunter would get bored too quick. I really liked the connect-the-objects mode and the bonus subway levels. I would've preferred a different reward for the bells though, like a possible hidden level or additional evidence or a bigger storyline success for Valerie.
I especially enjoyed the minigames. This way I wasn't even tempted to scroll through the dialogues, since I knew every little bit of information will help with the puzzles, writing articles or creating headlines, or just understanding the connections between the photographs. I also really liked that even though there were more types of minigames, they didn't break the game apart by being randomly placed or having too many types at once but rather they followed the logical course of news writing. Discover the news, develop the pictures, write the article, find a headline and send it to press. Seems like a piece of cake, no?
I'd absolutely recommend this game to everyone, not just hidden object fans but anyone who appreciates a well-placed, well-written period mystery!

I love this game! Everything about it screamed quality - detailed graphics, a gripping storyline, with elaborate gameplay. The inclusion of mini-games gave the HOG depth, its story greater relatability and kept the entire ride exciting. Try it!
