Set out on a journey with a group of villagers as they search for a new part of their island to populate. Land on the hidden shores of the northern Isola and explore a long-lost, secret city. Find new sources of food to nourish your villagers and help them rebuild the remains of this mysterious new home. Who lived here before? Where have they gone? Can you unravel the secret of Isola?

Awesome game!

As a late 'bloomer', I have just discovered this series and am hooked. All three are good games to play in between my work as they slow moving and do not need to be 'babysat' in any way. You can see the improvments made in The Secret City, however, all three games are quite addictive! I will be making a purchase soon since the online versions are not nearly as fun. Give ALL a try if you haven't already...

I like the vitural villagers series. This is a great addition to the series. I hope the continue to make more. Amazing graphics and a great game for people who only want to play a few minutes at a time.

After playing the previous two installments I do see some improvements, but VV:TSC still made me feel more like I'm outside looking in. Tech points take forever to learn (unless you start the game and then not play for a while) and even when you're wanting the villagers to do such-and-such its not that easy to do so. Once a villager made Chief (and thereby no longer works) I was out of luck since there were 2 kids, 2 nursing mothers, leaving only 2 males that could work... This makes it even more difficult to gain tech points and thereby learning new skills, etceteras. I played several trials in between trying out the VV series hoping that passing the time offline would help gameplay.

This game falls into the 'just ok' category. Within 2 weeks I'd completed all of the puzzles, and there really wasn't much left to do except buy new outfits for my villagers and raise the population to the maximum. You can play the game on different speed levels (I played mine on fast) which allows you to play at your own pace. I did enjoy some aspects of the game, but overall it really isn't worth buying if it's completed so soon. A nice addition to this game would be to introduce new goals once the puzzles are completed. After finishing all the puzzles, there isn't much left to do. The villager's preferences can really only be 'Research' and 'Healer' once everything is built. Kind of a let down, and anti-climactic. The music and graphics were kind of nice though.
