The villagers are back in this long awaited sequel to the popular Virtual Villagers series! Our villagers have become so prosperous that they've run out of room and need to find a new area of the Isola to inhabit. After setting out on a raft and encountering a terrible storm, the villagers are washed up on a new shore and they discover a lost city! Help them solve the mystery of this wonderous place as you guide your tribe! Learn skills to improve your efficiency as you build huts, uncover lost tombs and grow an orchard of fruit! Just as good, and even better, than the original games, VV3 will not disappoint fans of this fantastic series!

I thought that this games was amazing. I have loved the series so far. I think that it is a good game for anyone who has patence. And people that don't for that matter. It is Ideal for people that have spare time, as you have to keep an eye on them. I would advise people to check them most nights, or put them on pause when you don't have time.
I would also advise people to play them in order although it is NOT nessesary.
I loved the game and know you will too.
The best one so far.

Virtual Villagers The Secret City is everything fans of the series will hope for in a sequel. With new gameplay features such as rain, fog, and the tribal chief, the game keeps your interest in a beautiful island scenery. The graphics are great, the kids voices make me giggle, and overall I love Virtual Villagers!

Compared to the first two Virtual Villagers, this one is the best. Graphics is better, it is very challenging, reaching a milestone takes a long time though because you have to accumulate a lot of tech points before you can upgrade. Maybe if there is a sequel to this, it would allow us to buy both Nature and Magic faction. It is just fun to play god even just in a game.

After playing the previous two installments I do see some improvements, but VV:TSC still made me feel more like I'm outside looking in. Tech points take forever to learn (unless you start the game and then not play for a while) and even when you're wanting the villagers to do such-and-such its not that easy to do so. Once a villager made Chief (and thereby no longer works) I was out of luck since there were 2 kids, 2 nursing mothers, leaving only 2 males that could work... This makes it even more difficult to gain tech points and thereby learning new skills, etceteras. I played several trials in between trying out the VV series hoping that passing the time offline would help gameplay.

As a late 'bloomer', I have just discovered this series and am hooked. All three are good games to play in between my work as they slow moving and do not need to be 'babysat' in any way. You can see the improvments made in The Secret City, however, all three games are quite addictive! I will be making a purchase soon since the online versions are not nearly as fun. Give ALL a try if you haven't already...

I like the vitural villagers series. This is a great addition to the series. I hope the continue to make more. Amazing graphics and a great game for people who only want to play a few minutes at a time.

This game falls into the 'just ok' category. Within 2 weeks I'd completed all of the puzzles, and there really wasn't much left to do except buy new outfits for my villagers and raise the population to the maximum. You can play the game on different speed levels (I played mine on fast) which allows you to play at your own pace. I did enjoy some aspects of the game, but overall it really isn't worth buying if it's completed so soon. A nice addition to this game would be to introduce new goals once the puzzles are completed. After finishing all the puzzles, there isn't much left to do. The villager's preferences can really only be 'Research' and 'Healer' once everything is built. Kind of a let down, and anti-climactic. The music and graphics were kind of nice though.
