This game is very calming, the graphics are nice but the music is the best aspect of play. Very little strategy required at all, just sit back and enjoy- especially after a stressful day of work!

Bubble Bay reminds me so much of the 1989 video game classic tetris in that both games have simple, unaffected gameplay that is easy to learn yet hard to master and that neither game tries to be more than what it already is: clean, wholesome, uncomplicated fun. Indeed, helping your octopus pop like-colored bubbles is more addictive than it may seem, and the fact that she can only carry four bubbles at a time makes selecting her load all the more challenging, lest you want to put her in a pickle that ends up beaching her. Luckily, the soothing music will keep you at ease and on task, and the sound effects also lend a degree of ambience to BB that makes the whole underwater excursion all the more enjoyable. I will admit that the animation isn't quite as smooth as the sound is, but the colors are still bright and vivid enough to do the graphics justice on the whole, and in this game, color is everything! Throw in ten collectable tropical fish and three different bubble-bursting aides--baracudas, marlins, and piranhas--and you've got yourself a game that'll keep you busy for hours and begging for more. All in all, Bubble Bay is one of those games that deserves a second look amongst the competition.
