As stated, you must move the items in the refridgerator and cupboards around to get to the ingredients you need. Notice the grid on the back of the shelves. Some have two spaces some have three and other numbers. Notice that the items on the shelves are different heights. Some ingredients need one space on these grids some need two, three and so forth. Use all of the spaces you can to try to get the items consolodated on the shelves so that you can access the ingredients you need. On tip, sometimes you have to use spaces in front of other items including the items you need to make enough room to move everything around. This exercise takes a bit of deductive analysis to ascertain the solution but it is a lot of fun!
You have to move the other items around, especially the ones blocking the item you're looking for. It's kind of like tetris. Each item only takes up so many "blocks" in the fridge. Once the item, in this case the milk, no longer has anything in front of it, you can click on it to take it.
