Sort of. In Dream Chronicles, you, as Faye, must rescue your husband Fidget from the wicked Faerie Queen of Dreams, Lillith. You have to find objects to repair various things(for example, you need to find a match to light a fire). There aren't any big screens with a list of stuff to find like in most Hidden Objects, but rather you need to explore each scene carefully in order to find the items you need to reach new levels. Also hidden in each scene are Dream Pieces, which, depending on how many you find, will determine your score. Really, all you need to do is click points of interest. Sometimes Faye will explain what the object you clicked is, sometimes it'll be a Dream Piece, and sometimes it'll be an object you need to complete the chapter(level). If you explore super thoroughly, you'll get the hang of it. The interface is really simple :) Hope this helps! Have fun!
Dream Chronicles is not your typical hidden object game. It is more of a game full of puzzles. Each area you come to (called chapters in your journal) has a particular obstacle to overcome. In the very first room you have to figure out how to unfreeze the door. Further on you have to fix a puppet theatre. There's even a memory game with a piano!
As for the storyline. This is the first of three where you play the wife of a fairy and you have to save your husband and your daughter from the Fairy Queen of Dreams. That is why you have so many obstacles to overcome. If you like searching for items and solving puzzles, the Dream Chronicles games are for you!
