ah well, you see latte it's not fresh water....it's salt water, allow me to tell you a story about that set lake...
once, long ago, when there was much water on the surface of the earth, much more than there is now, all of it was salBLEEPer. There were sharks galore in these waters back then, and one day something terrible happened. A family of sharks journeyed further to the edge of the land than they ever had before, their intentions, nobody knows! They swam around the edge of the land for several days however...
...meawhile little did the sharks know that humans were bottling wateror sale in supermarkets and shops, and this water was coming from nowhere else but the sea. After much water had been taken the sea levels had lowered and left these sharks in a small area of water with land all around them, as it had previously been an underwater mountain range. This area of water was secluded from all other water and was merely a small lake, however the family of sharks that were in the water were trapped, and now many generations of shark later, that family of sharks is still there today.
Even now today people go down to feed the sharks, and to ensure the water is salty enough people fock from miles around bringing their salt mills to grind their own salt into the lake, and keep the samilt of sharks alive.t is said that some bring bottled water to the lake too, to raise the water levels so they can swim out and be free, but an estimated 14 trillion average ized bottles would be needed, and it is estimated it could take many melennia before the sharks are free to swim in the sea once more.
THE END
...and the moral of the stary is, don't question why sharks live in lakes...there is always a good reason, and if you're a shark, don't swim too close to land.
Hope you enjoyed the story, the truth is I have no idea as to the real answer of the question but that sounded like a fun answer and I doubted anyone would know the real answer. hope that made you smile...even with the sad ending lol.
