You don't go up a level with points. You do it by answering questions and getting voted the best answer thing. So you don't do it by earning points, but by answering questions or asking them.
I don't know what number of points does it take to go up a level. When I advanced, I completely skipped the frugal level and went up to conservative. At that time, I received 20 best tips and did a share of tipping other's questions also.
Given what everyone else have said in past posts, I think that to go up a level, you have to give out good tips, with some receiving as the best tip (percentage of your answers perhaps?), and tip those who you feel as giving good answers to other's questions.
I became a Frugal Tipper at about 200 points but moving up to Frugal Tipper has nothing to do with your points............I got it when I was chosen for best answer on a question i answered so all you have 2 do is answer all the questions you can long and sincere and truefully and if you get chosen to have best answer you get to be a Frugal Tipper!!!
You need to give a lot of best answers, ask/answer a lot of questions, and vote on others answers as best answer. It's not so much points as it is activity, but I became a frugal tipper at around 900 pts. or so.
Change in tipping status is not a function of points as much as it is a funtion of how active you are in this forum asking, answering, and voting on tips.
