I'm going to come to your side, since no one else is. What I think you're talking about is all the texters, not the non-English speaking people. There are plenty of people who use textese instead of English. It's not so much about spelling but of writing out the words. In that case, I guess they are so used to texting on their phones and are in such a hurry that they can't take time to write out the words.
Many times you can tell the non-US from the texters. I sympathize with the non-English speaking members (my Spanish isn't very good anymore), and applaud them. Some of them have awesome English skills (better than some Americans).
I don't think you meant to offend these users. However, there might have been a nicer way to put it (you may have even offended a few 5 year olds who write very nicely! :D).
As to why everyone seems obsessed with textese, I can't say, but I wish I knew.

I've always heard people in glass houses should not throw stones. Before you criticize others spelling, maybe you should review your own profile and do a spell check on some of the questions you have asked/answered in the past. This is a big world and not everyone is perfect or fluent in every language.

If you are going to insult people for their use of language, then you should really look at your question. It is full of grammer errors.
Everyone has errors in their posts from time to time, where we rush our answers or questions. Some of us have tried and have done really well writing in English, when we may not actually be in an English speaking country.
So the simple answer is, don't come here if you don't like what you see.

There is such a diverse group of people here. Some from other
countries. Some who may not know quite how to type because they may be learning. Some who are trying very hard to learn our language. Diversity can be a great thing if we all remember that no person here is perfect at everything. Please remember if you misspell a word or make a typo would you like it if someone were to put you down. Tolerance is something we need more of.

Many people from this site are from different countries, so their language is actually really good. You probably offended some of the people from other countries by saying that they write like 5 year olds! I'm guessing your from BFG so I suggest you either talk nice to people or swim back to your pond. Another thing, Pallas is right by saying you have a run-on sentence.

I thought this site was for having a relaxing time enjoying others with the same interests not for having our grammar and writing styles critiqued. Frankly, I am working on my master's degree and even my instructors who are all PhD's are more polite in the critiques on our papers. Remember, we all make mistakes and sometimes being humble enough to not point out another's, shows some amount of dignity as a human being.

I'm sure if you were trying to post on a site whose language you were just learning you would sound like you were five years old too! Just because someone doesn't understand English as well as you do, doesn't mean you have to insult them by posting stuff like this! If it bothers you this much, then just leave everyone here alone and go back to that other site you were *supposedly* going back to! No one's forcing you to stay here, but if you were just a tad bit nicer and tried to have more fun around here, you'd realize that pretty much everyone here is respectful, helpful, and nice. People are more than just their language.
And besides, isn't that sentence you typed classified as a run-on? ;)

I agree with what the others had said concerning this matter. Again, not every member here in PlayFirst is an American citizen who knows how to type in words in fluent English. Although some members like me (I'm from the Philippines) are fluent in English, don't expect everyone to be the same.
Remember, not everyone is of the same intellect. Just accept others for who they are, how they key in words, and eveything will be alright.

I thought I read somewhere that you couldn't tread water over here in the deep end and were headed back to the pond?!?
Oh well! If your going to stick around, please find a way to enjoy yourself and stop bringing people down. This is a site for many ages and many different walks of life as others have posted below.
This is a gaming site, go play games if you don't find the site content up to your obvious more intelligent, more superior (insert sarcasm... just in case you missed that) standards.

Just because the people come from all over the world. Yes plafirst is an american website but the games are released in nearly every country.
Here are players from Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia and America and you can't expect that everyone can speak/write english in a way like an american or english guy.
