As you enter different islands and unlock them, you will find different items for purchase at the sewing store. You may purchase these items if you choose, and not to mention that as you dig further, you might also unlock the recipe for a new clothing item. I think that the list for clothing items always continually grows, just like the recipes do... So far, I've made a: Spacesuit, star sunglasses, rectangular glasses, spacewings, a flight attendant jacket, a long coat, a long t shirt, a butterfly tank, a boombox, a sword, a guitar, and so forth... the list is too long.
