when the kids grow up they do not get jobs. They study a lot around 16 and 17 for college (and before that even at like 6 but not as much as when they are close to leaving) then at some point when they are 18 they go off to college. there is no party or goodbyes they just disappear really. and a sign pops up talking about how they left well..it's more like a quote about going to college and has a picure of a person going off to college and they're parents waving bye to them. but the picture is not you or your family in the game. hope i helped you.  

hey! :) yeah it's true you can have more then one family at a time. you can make different names on your game which will mean that you'll have different families. or you can download the same game from different game sites and sometimes that will give you different familes sometimes it'll just give you your same family. hope i helped :)
