I would work on getting as many people as you can researching and getting three adept builders. When you have enough tech points for level 2 in restoration get that so you can fix the lift. To fix lift put 3 adept builders on broken lift and they will fix it. Then when it rains put someone on lift and they will then plant fruit which takes around 3 hours on fast. You can plant up to 3 fruit trees which should give you enough food until you do shark puzzle. But make sure you have plenty of researchers so they can get enough tech points for level 2 in either nature or magic which ever you decide. I went for nature which now gives you a pitcher plant that can be found near the alchemy lab where the kids go to the toilet. You have to get 2 x Black orchid and 1 pitcher plant. The kids can gather up those ingredients. Once you have those ingredients a master scientist will create the potion and then bring it to the sea to get rid of sharks.
