First you have to have three master builders. It won't work with less skilled or less builders. You can get master builders by having them build houses or dams (building tech level 2 or 3, I forgot) and things like that. Then you can either drag then onto the crate ond by one or pause the game and drag them on. Then they should open the crate for you. By the way, i suggest that you build up your population a bit first, or your builders might die before you have three masters. Hope this helps!
