Though I usually like games with a visible, female protagonist, I have found myself really involved in this real estate game. Interestingly, it is an action game rather than a simulation, with a demanding race against the clock on each level. There's plenty of variation as you build different houses and public buildings in a series of neighborhoods with different atmospheres - mountains, Texas countryside, the beach. Each neighborhood has its own mayor who sets tasks for each level - minimum rental income, the construction of a museum, movie theater or other building, a certain number of a particular type of house. Managing materials, cash and available lots takes some strategy, while the encroaching deadline gives plenty of excitement. A game I didn't expect to like as much as I do.
